"Fashion is peer of the daily air and it changes all the time, with all the events. You can even see the approaching of a revolution in clothes. You can see and feel everything in clothes." -Diana Vreeland
If you know me, you know I love shopping...like LOVE. I wouldn't even call this my wishlist, this is more like my "get" list because 9 times out of ten, these items are in my cart as you read. So here are 10 things I want this fall...
Something all women need regardless of the season is a tote bag. Something I've been in dire need of the past few months is the Goyard Tote St. Louis tote. Besides the struggle of trying to get to Chicago to purchase one, I've been struggling on what color I want. While I'm still not sure on the color some of my top choices are orange, green , white, claret, and black. (I know lol that's quite a few) One of the things that's making the decision difficult is the neutrality... do I really want a big orange bag? Would that be for everyday use? But then again, do I want to be Plain Jane and get a white or black bag? Maybe.
A perfect fall staple is a jogging suit. It's an easy throw on outfit that makes you look put together with minimal effort. As much as I love dressing up (even though I rarely do), I love being comfortable just as much if not more. I'm very simple when it comes to clothing pieces like I have a signature look and color (which most of us do). So a couple of jogging suits that I plan to get my hands on this season are the Alexander Wang set that has been all over Tik Tok. Most of the gals on social media have been raving about the bubble gum pink set. Now, don't get me wrong the pink is super cute but me personally, I'd love it in this acid washed brown set, black or light gray set.
Another super cute simple jogging suit that I want is this Kith set with the crop hoodie. Even though I love neutrals, when I do dabble in color, I love dark tones. (Navy, emeralds, burgundy, burnt oranges) The perfect colors for fall. This set reminds me a lot of the Wang set in regards to the look of the material, however this sweatsuit is a bit more form fitting and shows off your shape more. Both similar but serve different purposes. This next set, is giving Y2K and is a completely different vibe from these two sets.
Do the girls remember the Juicy Couture era? The necklaces? The bracelets? Purses? Earrings? But most of all the tracksuits??? I never owned a Juicy tracksuit so I'd be healing my inner child by getting one, right? RIGHT! Like you need the Chanel sunnies with the razor flip with this. So maybe I lied, I do like a teeny bit of color because I love the baby pink set. But then again, I've been debating on this one against the black...but just between us I like the pink more.
Remember going back to school shopping in the fall? Running up a check on your mom's dime? Boy do I miss those days lol not we running it up on our own tab. Apart of that back to school shopping was figuring out what shoes you were going to step on necks with. Now, I've already gotten a few pairs of shoes already, that including the New Balance 990s, some Vans (my very first pair) and a lot of extras that aren't sneakers. I used to not be a sneakers girl but now I can't stop. That being said, another pair of sneakers that I want are the Nike Dunk Low in Olive. I would like them in a million other colors but we'll just focus on this one since it recently dropped.
Continuing on with the theme of low top sneakers, I know you've seen the Amiri Skel Top Low sneakers AKA the skeleton shoes. Now these I would also like in a multitude of colors, with the beige being the "if I only could pick one color it'd be this one". I like this shoe cause I feel like it's a not so flashy shoe but not boring with an interesting design. I also love the high top but more so on men.
Another fall favorite of mine are sweaters/cardigans. There isn't a specific sweater or cardigan that I want but one of my favorite places to purchase are Zara and H&M. H&M is home of the neutrals. I also get most of my open or button down cardigans from here. Zara is a bit more experimental so pick your poison. I typically get more of my pullover sweaters from here. If you're looking to get more casual sweaters, I'd check your local thrift store. (Check out my last blog post under the "style" tab:)
Within the last few years, I've also grown to love sunglasses regardless of the season or weather. Now, I'm not a sunglasses in the club kind of girl but I'll definitely wear them on a cloudy day. Same thing with sweaters and cardigans, there aren't any sunglasses I'm pressed to get but there are a couple that I'd eventually like to add to my collection. I would love some Chanel sunnies, Loewe, and Balenciaga. I feel like a year ago everybody was going crazy over the Loewe sunglasses and I'm not ashamed to say I'm still on that wave. Now, there is a specific pair of Balencies I would like (pictured). I love sunnies all year round because I fee like they elevate your look and take you from a 7 to a 10. I actually despise paying full price for sunglasses so some of my favorite places to get them are Saks Off 5th, Nordstrom Rack, Ssense, and Farfetch.
I'm a sucker for floral and clean scents but the flowers are dying, the leaves are falling, and it's getting cold outside so it's time to tap into the warmer scents. Last year, I purchased By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela's Replica. It reminds me of being literally by a fireplace loooool It's such a toasty, woodsy fall scent. Now I'm back this year and I want Jazz Club. If you are a real fragrance person, the notes in this perfume are:
Now another scent that I want among many others is Byredo Mojave Ghost. This scent reminds me of a cleaner scent but it's described as woody so another perfect scent for fall even though I would more than likely wear them all year round. The notes in this scent are:
Like I mentioned before, I love being comfortable therefore sweats and leggings are my go to but since I've bought all these cute fall pieces and haven't even worn some of the things I bought for summer, I want to be sure I don't do that this season. And by doing that, I want to buy more jeans. Again, there aren't a specific jean that I want to picture however, the style of jeans that I'm looking for are more oversized/baggy but fit in the waist. Some of my favorite places to get jeans are Abercrombie, Zara, and the thrift store. In addition to the baggy look, I definitely want more cargos and possibly one or two pair of skinny jeans. And now that I think about it, I would actually love to own a pair of Mugler jeans....they're absolutely stunning.
While there are a million other things I could think of and add to this list we'll leave it at that. Whatever I don't buy myself will definitely be going on my Christmas list. What are some trends you're loving or hating this season? What are some things you're looking to buy?
